How do you make sushi roll with locally sourced NZ snapper?

Head Chef Green from Musashi St Heliers presents Aotearoa Sushi Roll.

Welcome to our "Cook with Musashi Chefs" monthly blog. Green, the head chef from Musashi St Heliers, presents you with our iconic - Musashi Aotearoa Roll.

  1. We have always used Leigh Fish NZ to prepare the fish for fresh and high-quality Snappers. Remove the skin, bones, and any other unwanted parts. Once the fish is cleaned, it can be sliced into thin, bite-sized pieces suitable for sushi use.

  2. It's important to note that the cutting technique for preparing fish for sushi is specific and requires extensive skill. The slices should be uniform in thickness and size to ensure that the sushi rolls are visually appealing and have a consistent texture.

  3. Presentation: We dress Aotearoa Sushi Roll with fresh spouts and Poke Sauce.
